2017 More Work

Boiler drained, motion greased, Camelot is stored in the shed. The tender is removed for work on the wheelsets. BRIAN LACEY.

The 73082 Camelot tender is located over the working pit at Sheffield Park and work is underway to remove the brake gear and other items to enable the removal of the wheelsets. The useful life left in the tender wheel tyres has now been used up and so they need replacing. JULIAN HEINEMANN 8 January,...

Meanwhile, the Society's CCT (Covered Carriage Truck), originally bought as a store, is moved into the Bluebell Railway Carriage and Wagon Workshop for some TLC (Tender Loving Care).

Camelot was "winterised" at the beginning of 2017, but there was still work to do. This included rebuilding the Society's CCT (Covered Carriage Truck), originally purchased as a store. The job is contracted to the Bluebell Railway Carriage and Wagon Department.
