Camelot passes Sharpethorn, BRIAN LACEY, 24 June 2019
The Sales Stand stocks railway themed Books, DVDs and CDs, railwayana including badges, etc. It can be seen at railway themed events such as Bluebell Railway Special Events, Model Railway Exhibitions and Railway Depot Open Days.
In our early days, the Society orgamised several Model Railway Exhibitions; see the Society MREs Page.
The Society raises money to support Camelot through Members' donations and profits from a Sales Stand. A lot of practical support comes from the Bluebell Railway and its members, and this is gratefully acknowleged.
The Society is registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and donations may attract Gift Aid.
There is a Society Bookstall at "Antiques at Wendover".
This Antiques Centre can be found at: The Old Post Office, 25 High Street, Wendover, HP22 6DU, Buckinghamshire
The Society owns a SR CCT (Southern Railway Covered Carriage Truck). This was purchased for use as a component store, but has now been restored by members of the Bluebell Railway Carriage and Wagon Department as a heritage item, to run on demonstration goods trains and at special events. Again, with thanks from the Society; especially to the late Richard Maxwell, who re-instated all the mechanical gear, to make it 'a runner' again.
